I got done playing some LittleBigPlanet and I'm not too sure what did it, but I was suddenly in the mood for some survival horror and with quite a bit of money to spare, I decide I wanted to go on Playstation Network and go buy me some Resident Evil and Silent Hill to hopefully fulfill that.
Upon going in however. I was greeted to something that may as well have just been called the "Windows 8 Store" because that's exactly what it looked like to me. I get in there and from the appearance I can already (image above) tell I was going to have a rough time, being that I have had nothing but bad luck with using Windows 8. Let's just say there were quite a few problems with it that I will try my damnedest to elaborate in detail.
I'm going to start off with the User Interface. The user interface is basically a tiled interface, like we have seen in the Windows 8/Metro UI and Steam Big Picture. I'm going to cut straight to the chase, the appearance in itself is an eyesore to look at. Not to mention it is a major clusterfuck and because of that is rather annoying to navigate to. I don't see what was so bad about the old PSStore UI that they had to change it into a wannabe Windows 8. I mean, I can kind of understand why that would work for the Vita, but I can't even fathom why Sony thought that would pan out well for the PS3. I don't even like that tiled UI on Big Picture to be honest and wished that Valve would put their effort into other things like I don't know Half-Life 3, but that's another subject for another day.
In short, the User Interface itself is ugly and it is unorganized.
Another issue I have with this thing that just drives me absolutely nuts is that this store is laggy as dicks. I found myself screaming and swearing at the TV because I was so irritated by how often I would lag in the shop.
