Thanks to the internet, there is a supposed leaked beta rom out there for Pokemon X & Y and apparently a few days ago, there was a leak on some new information on Pokemon X & Y.
Here is a Pastebin showing what looks like to be some of the "code" for the rom. It is in Japanese, with a little bit of English thrown in for some names.
It supposedly confirms the name of the region, which is called the "Aienki Region."
It also uncovers the second and third stages of the Starter Pokemon's evolutions, as well as their types.
For Chespin they are: Chespike/Chespear (Grass/Dark)
For Fennekin they are: Flannec/Fernox (Fire/Psychic)
For Froakie they are: Ribbub/Froabenet (Water/Fighting)
If the typing for the second &/or third stagers are legit, it could that the rival battles will no longer be an uphill battle or even too easy to win, considering that Fighting, Psychic and Dark types form their own triangle, just like Grass, Fire and Water do.
Here is what it would look like:
Grass<Fire
Dark>Psychic
Fire<Water
Psychic>Fighting
Water<Grass
Fighting>Dark
There is another interesting Pokemon "unveiled" by this leak called Finchett which looks like it could evolve to either Finches and Fincho, X and Y Formes respectively, meaning that, if it's true, Finchett could either evolve one of those two based on either gender or depend on what version it evolved in, which sounds interesting.
It also "reveals" one of the two types for Xerneas (Grass) and Yveltal (Fire), but for some mysterious reason the second type is unknown, there is another Legendary Pokemon named Zanarol, a Rock type, it could be the "Z" Pokemon based on how it's named, however, like Xerneas and Yveltal, it has a second type which is unknown for some unexplained reason, which questions validity in my opinion.
There are also three more Legendary Pokemon called Deryn (Steel), Lunyrite (Rock) and Stapyre (Fire). Based on the way they are named, it can be safe to say, if it's true, these are the 6th Gen Legendary Trio.
