Project Shield. NVIDIA's new handheld unveiled!

It appears that NVIDIA has revealed to us a new handheld gaming device at CES 2013 by the name of "Project Shield".
(PS pictured below)
Project Shield is going to be sporting an NVIDIA Quad Core Tegra 4 A-15 CPU/Processor along with a Custom 72-core NVIDIA GeForce GPU. The clocking speeds on these are not yet known and will be updated once we learn more.

Project shield will also be sporting a full console-grade controller layout with the face buttons similar to that of an Xbox and Wii-U controller as well as feature a 5-inch HD 720p multi-touch LED display. It will have a hi-fi speaker set-up (looks like Stereo) as well as 802.11n 2x2 MIMO "game-speed" Wi-Fi which should hopefully make streaming to your PC (which I'll talk more about later in the article) much easier.

This handheld will also have the latest version of Google's Android Operating System, Jelly Bean. You will be able to buy games for this device via the Google Play Store and NVIDIA's TegraZone.

Another very shnifty feature of this little handheld is that you will be able to stream and play PC games by communicating wirelessly with your "GTX Powered PC". So far we know you will be able to access your Steam Library and play your Steam games with it. I imagine there will be support for Origin, MAYBE Windows Live and other services in the future, do not quote me on the Windows Live thing, I am just taking a guess. From my understanding, with this feature you might be able to make this into what is essentially the whole Cross-Controller Feature that we see with Sony's Playstation 3 and PSVita.

Well, I don't know about you folks reading this at home, but what I do know is that I feel this is a very interesting outing on NVIDIA's part. It looks like they will be entering competition with Dedicated Android gaming devices like the Ouya as well as current the dedicated gaming handhelds, the Nintendo 3DS and the PlayStation Vita. I will personally look into this more and continue to update once I have new information on hand.
