Nintendo Publishes the First R18+ Game In Australia

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge on WiiU will be the first R18+, pretty much Mature, rating in Australia. This game, unlike the Xbox360 and PS3 versions, were published directly by Nintendo, and it will not be changed to accommodate  for the MA15+ rating.

Lesley O'Brien, the director of the Australian Classification Board, had this to say, "Under the Guidlines for the Classification of Computer Games, R18+ computer games will have a high impact and it is for this reason that these games are not suitable for under 18s. Ninja Gaiden 3:Razor's Edge contains violence that is high in impact because of its frequency, high definition graphics, and emphasis on blood effects."

I personally find it funny that the family friendly company is the first to publish a mature rated game in Australia.
